A day in the life of a Scent-a-Barks dog…

I get so excited when it’s a daycare day!

Between 8am and 9am I wait eagerly at the front door for my collection, when one of the team arrive there’s a lot of happy greetings and tail wags and I hop into the cosy crates and spy who else is in the van!

Once we arrive at daycare we’re straight outside to the paddock for a toilet break, here I get to say hello to all my friends! I have lots of friends, but I do have my best friends that I love to play with, so after our toilet break, we’re grouped with the besties for more play time! We have lots of activities we can play, from balls, tug toys, ropes, huts, climbing frames, slides and even bubbles! It definitely keeps my brain, as well as my legs, busy! The morning has gone quick and soon it is lunch time… this is when the morning dogs go home, which makes me sad but it means my afternoon friends will be arriving soon! It also gives me a chance to have a bit of a break and a rest before the fun starts again. There are lots of comfy sofas to nap on, but my favourite is snoozing in the cosy chill-out zone where I can look at the calming scenery. I’m nudged awake by the sound of my afternoon friends and I jump to say hello! More play and activities commence, and I can choose which area of the centre I want to be in, whether it’s more of a chill play or crazy zoomies area! 3pm quickly arrives and it’s time to have a tidy up and head home… I’m so tired and I’m am grateful for my cosy trip home, where I’m let in my house and settled. I get very sad watching them go but I know I’ll be back to see my friends soon!
